Friends brought their precious granddaughter Sophia to see me after my surgery. She picked out this tulip plant because of the colors. Vermilion and white are the colors of the University of Louisiana, Lafayette, the alma mater of Sophia's mother, her uncle Trent and our grandson Brandon.
