LSU had a real graduation this May, with some modifications due pandemic. The students were so glad to hear their names called and walk across the stage!
It’s so nice to get back to a little bit of normal. I was so glad Mary Washington was able to have a modified ceremony this year — it was almost better — no struggle finding parking and seats were randomly assigned so we didn’t have to get there at the crack of dawn to stake out our spot.
@wiesnerbeth I saw in an alumni email about Mary Washington’s graduation & I think LSU’s was similar. Smaller ceremonies at different locations. I agree that it had its advantages. Even though we were competing with the state high school track meet, traffic was minimal, parking not bad & plenty of seats. Maria just wanted to walk across the stage and she did!
Congratulations to your graduate!! Several collages around here had double the graduations- holding one for those who graduated last year and didn't get a ceremony and one for those who graduated this year. Everyone was really appreciative of it. Congratulations Maria!!
