While this may not be an award winning photo, I am posting it to document the 9 lbs. of wild cauliflower mushrooms (sparassis?) that my husband and I harvested on Sunday from my mother's woods. They are all cleaned, boiled and frozen to preserve their flavor for future use.
@cheyrebecca A note about the mushrooms. They taste a bit crunchy in the way brown rice can be, and a lot like oyster mushrooms. I think they are not cauliflower mushrooms, but are in fact "hen of the wood". Whatever the case, my husband loves them!
