It is not often that you see such a tiny young squirrel out on his own. They usually don't leave the nest until they are bigger. This one has been bravely climbing up to the bird feeder (although he did fall right off yesterday much to my amusement). I shot this leaning out the kitchen window in the rain. Happy weekend!
He is tiny! Can't be very old. Such a cutie - and how do they know immediately to head for the bird feeder Must be one of the inborn learnings! I'm sure it was comical watching his earlier quest - they are fun to watch. Love the shot.
