I find these structures very interesting. The ice freezes then cracks and buckles. It was 6 degrees (F) this morning, so a lot of the river was frozen over, although there was still some open water for the ducks.
Interesting formations. Ice has so many fascinating elements that are great to photograph. Nicely done, especially since you had to withstand the bitter temps.
