I didn't know, but probably should have, but sheep are supposed to be perfectly dry when they get sheared. We have had so much rain lately, with more in the forecast, that we had to squeeze all the sheep into the barn a day ahead of schedule to let them dry and to keep them dry.
It is cozy in there for them, but, luckily it is only for a day and a bit. They do have room to walk around, lay down, and grab a bite to eat so I guess they will be okay.
They will feel better in their summer coat when it is all over.
After a day in the barn and with their new haircuts they are going to feel great when they get out. Hope you get some photos of them being done, but I guess it is a very busy time for you.
