I know that this does not really look like a fence, but it is. You can see a straight line behind him and there is a single strand of electric wire along it.
We use either four or five strands of electric wire everywhere else, but through the bush it is a single strand.
The cows seldom venture this far into the bush since there is little for them to eat. We use this line strictly as a barrier for those that do wander.
The line needs to be cleared on an annual basis so that the fence can easily be seen and the brush does not ground out the fence.
Another chore done.
I finally got round to setting up a bit of electric fencing yesterday. About 50 yards of it that I have been putting off. Looking at this mammoth task I feel ashamed!
So interesting to see, we used electric fences too & if the trees or greenery touch this I suppose it will earth & be ineffective. Love to see other farmers lives!
