Dalhousie Water Tower by farmreporter

Dalhousie Water Tower

SOOC - Best viewed large.
A large amount of effort has been put into restoring this structure.
A plaque with all the information at the nearby patio/gazebo on what was the foundation of the old train station was erected in 2006.
I unfortunately did not take the time to read it. I will therefore zip by there tomorrow and take a picture and post it (for my own record as well as for the interest of others).
Dalhousie is a small farming community straddling the Ontario - Quebec border several km's north from the St. Lawrence River. Locals either say Dalhousie Mills, Ont. and Dalhousie Que., or Dalhousie (on the river) and Dalhousie Station. (by the tracks)
I think it is another instance of people moving from an existing town by the river to the newly formed town when the tracks went by.
This looks like an unusual building. You have done a stunning job with the photo. The lighting make it look quite beautiful. fav
