Haying season now done

Hubby takes great satisfaction sitting on our front deck staring at the hay harvest sitting in the field all wrapped and stacked so neatly!
It is a lot of work, and there is a lot riding on a successful hay harvest. A good hay harvest means that you can feed your animals all winter.
A poor hay crop means you either have to sell some animals or purchase enough hay for them - and that is not cheap!
A great feeling knowing we will once again be okay for winter.
Isn't it a fabulous feeling looking out of the window & seeing all that crop safely wrapped specially if it's raining!!! I saw some black wrapped bales this morning but couldn't stop but will try again if they aren't collected.

I like the commentary on your shots; thanks for educating all us non-farmers!

Great composition. It must be a great feeling having the winter forage safely gathered in.
