Awesome shot. Love the snow, trees, and that bridge. Not a good place for golfing at the moment. The golfers would easily lose their golf balls in the white snow!
This has such a lovely tonal quality...looks so cold and yet the softness looks welcoming or comforting as well. The soft lighting really works. As does the clarity of the tree branches we can see and the greyness of the background. Beautifully done.
@blueace@dide@olenadole@lyndamcg Thank you, ladies for your lovely comments. With the temperatures above zero when I took this shot, the snow is actually melting in this scene @30pics4jackiesdiamond We do actually do winter golfing with glo balls sometimes. It is so funny to watch!
@paul10 As a golfer, I knew that you would appreciate seeing the course in the winter! @cjphoto You are so right about the losing the balls - LOL! @happypat@gerry13 The winter season is really long here at the best of times, but it seems to be never ending this year. Not complaining though, it does make for some pretty pictures. @joansmor I'm with you about the snow photos - am looking so forward to seeing grass! @stillwaters You do not know how many times I wished I lived somewhere else!
@granagringa The warm air against the cold snow created a soft mist which gave this photo the surreal look. The cloud cover early in the morning is what kept everything so bleak.
i guess so...but it definitely gives great photo opportunities!
Here we rarely see snow, and right now temperature is already high for spring time, somedays it can even reach 30 c but i'm not complaining though :)
i can't believe there is still so much snow...
