Inuksuk by farmreporter

Inuksuk

The Inuksuk is a human made stone cairn or landmark used by the Inuit and other Northern peoples from Alaska to Greenland.
This Arctic symbol has become a popular art form of Canadians who live below the Arctic Circle and can be found in yards and gardens in rural and urban settings everywhere.
This particular Inuksuk had the top stone stolen and has this small stone placed until a more suitable stone can be found.
For the get pushed challenge given to me by Angie @angiedanielle24 who asked me to photograph an interesting piece of street/town/city art and give it a unique 'twist' e.g. Angle, POV, processing'
I was able to do some selective colouring on this particular photo which had it stand out from the busy background.

The second piece of art work I was able to find for you. They are found throughout Canada and are the most iconic piece of Canadiana that can be found!

@farmreporter I saw a few of these when I visited Canada a few years ago . I also saw some of them in Iceland too. So rustic and interesting.

Great find. I have never seen one in person, although I've seen lots of pictures of them.

Great job on the processing. The selective coloring is subtle but very effective!

We saw this symbol from Banff to Jasper. I bought a charm of this symbol for my trip bracelet! Love and Fav.
