Will Technology Really Replace Us? by farmreporter

Will Technology Really Replace Us?

Some members of 365 would remember the days of the old B&W television that you had to get off the couch to change the channel (and there were only 4 channels that the rabbit ears sitting on the top of the TV would be able to catch).

They may even remember party lines and rotary phones.

Cash was king, and cheques were written for larger items before the days of credit cards and debit machines.

This piece of computer hardware, and the billions like it in every gadget today, has changed all that!

For the latest B&W challenge - technology - which ends tomorrow. It's not too late to enter a photo! The link is here:

So very true. Like your commentary, probably because I remember all those things. Nice photo for the theme.

Yes...I remember! We were the first family on our block to get a color TV and the neighbors all came over to see it. The Wonderful World of Disney and Bonanza were fabulous after that upgrade! :)

I remember having a b&w portable in my bedroom. I had to turn a dial for the channels and twist the aerial for reception. We've come a long way from those days :)

We only had the one channel!

yeah... been thinking about that cash thing recently. It seems that spending money has a different feel when you have to relinquish a piece of paper.

Love your narrative (I can relate to it) and image to go along with it. How quick development goes!

Interesting thought. I saw a piece on tv the other day where Japan is creating robots to replace people because their population is decreasing.
