The Mighty Peace River by farmreporter

The Mighty Peace River

This is the first view of the mighty Peace River we saw when we moved to the Fairview Alberta area (Dunvegan, actually).
Except we moved in the middle of winter and crossed the river in the dark so I guess this is the view we would have seen had we moved on a bright summer day, lol!
Our home was located in the valley (coulee) seen on the left side of the river where it indents a bit.
Our nearest neighbour was 5 miles away. Really majestic country!
I have finally invested in a Lightroom-Photoshop package and have been importing the thousands of photos I have carefully digitally filed over the past 15 years into Lightroom's amazing program.
Unfortunately, this has been eating up my photography time so I will upload fillers from my 2006 trip to Fairview, Alberta to attend the wedding a very dear friend.
We lived there 20 years ago ... hard to believe it has been that long!
How peaceful it must have been to live along the river. It really is beautiful. Congratulations on investing in Lightroom! I hope you will tell us all about it!

@sandrajo
I just wish LR was around when I first started digital photography. It truly is a super way of organizing photos and such.
Except that I am organizing all of them - from 2006 on ,,, it is a tremendous amount of work but will be well worth it once it is done.
There are a lot of quick tricks to make the work go easier so it is going faster than I thought. Just learning the new program, etc ...
I highly recommend it if you are taking lots of photos and do not have a filing system yet.

a lovely shot and view of the river. I started with LR and am ever so happy that I did. I bought the software, so no monthly payments.
