Charlotte @cgarner challenged me to go through my Favourites and choose one as inspiration to take my own photo. Well. Since I often challenge my get pushed partners with challenges I want to try myself but never seem to get around to, I chose a photo done by Adi @adi314 in response to my challenge to her.
I challenged her to shoot in low light with high ISO and push the histogram as far right as possible since noise is found in the shadows more than the highlights. The trick is to not over expose so much that you lose details that cannot be recovered in the highlights. Here is her photo: https://365project.org/adi314/365/2019-03-08
Her photo is far more artistic than mine. However, I did learn how to push the histogram to the right to reduce the noise of a high ISO. Too bad my dog was not cooperating well! I guess that is why still lifes are so popular … they do as they are told!
Love that challenge ... especially since I may be able to get a comet in at the same time!
