But the break gave Hubby (on left) an opportunity to visit with the guy baling our hay!
Hubby cuts, teds, and rakes the hay but we do not do the actual baling since we do not own a baling machine.
It sometimes makes more economic sense to contract out some work than make the huge investment in machinery!
Yes & when it goes wrong it’s not your problem! We used to get contractors in for big jobs like siloing & baling. I love a good farming photo so a fave. Baler twine breaking.....so familiar! It looks good stuff from here, nice colour, bet it smells beautiful.

It has been so dry here that it was not hard to make dry hay this year! This is a newly seeded field and we got a nice crop off. So good to get that done.
