This impressive gathering place, with its beautifully landscaped grounds, features a designated historic grandstand, built in 1957, that seats 3,000 people.
The Glengarry Highland Games, held each August, were established in 1948. These legendary games feature traditional Scottish sporting and cultural games such as caber toss, performances by massed pipe bands, fiddlers and Highland dancers. People come from far and wide to attend this event and to hear the Glengarry Pipe Band, formed in 1961 and winner of the North America Pipe Band title.
The Kenyon Agricultural Society has been hosting the annual Maxville Fair since 1889. There are three action packed days full of music, carnival games, a midway, the prestigious Maxville Holstein Show, agricultural exhibitions, and horse shows.
