This huge spider was encasing something in it's web! Perhaps saving it for his lunch for tomorrow! These spiders are very big and scary but intriguing at the same time! They have such a cool design on their bodies!

Very beautiful. Never seen this one, probably not in the Netherlands. We have a spider that has the same behaviour (encasing its prey) and that makes exactly the same zzz-pattern in its web. It's called the tiger spider, maybe a family member.
