Another of Richard Woods' exhibits for the Folkestone Triennial celebration. It would look more impressive floating amongst the other craft but the tide was low this evening. It still presents a somewhat surprising sight:)
The message, or art is even more lost on me with this one, but it is a quirky shot. Quite a conversation piece. I do like the cute houses, probably for all the wrong reasons though!
Bizarrely for some reason I don't find this one quite as out of place as the yellow one seemed to be. Of course it would be a totally different sight when it''s not low tide and the house is floating.
@suzanne234@hermann@randystreat@carole_sandford@gijsje@robz@littleconnie@littleconnie@golftragic@jclaireyp@salza Thanks very much for your reactions to this artwork, I find the variety of reactions intriguing. It's definitely random but it's quirky and colourful and I must confess they are growing on me. They are not to scale and about one third of the size of an actual average house. This one caused a bit of a stir when it broke it's moorings and had to be rescued from drifting out to sea ... I think there are six in total dotted around the town, all in bright colours. Four more photo opportunities!!
Hi, incongruous to see a pink and pretty little house in the oozy mud of low tide. Not taking many photos here and no way to download, so avalanche to come . . .
Definitely a surprising sight!
