The first of the new fleet of four Virgin Voyages cruise ships, The Scarlet Lady, was unveiled in Dover on Friday. The 2,770 passenger ship will soon set sail to Liverpool and then across the Atlantic, stopping in NY before reaching Miami where it will welcome passengers for its maiden voyage to the Caribbean.
I'm darned sure it'd be out of my price range too FB, looks very posh. Mind you, the idea of being cooped-up with as many OP as the population of a small city doesn't appeal to me. Even before the lastest corona-virus debacle with the Diamond Princess I'd heard huge cruise-ships referred to as 'floating Petri dishes'.
Looks huge. Looks like it will have a lot to offer. But after the ones with the virus in isolation, cruising is looking more dangerous than it used to!
I can’t understand how people want to share their holiday with 2,770 people, it doesn’t appeal to me at all. It’s me, for others it’s their dream holiday! And the pollution this mega monsters create.........!
I feel slightly uneasy just looking at a ship that size, let alone going on it. I would have thought that for those brave enough, there would be some good deals on the cruise ships right now though.
