Shortly after the lead group of this year's Tour de Yorkshire past me, the peloton arrived, a mass of colour and motion as they flashed by.
The front rider here is one of the Orica GreenEDGE team. Immediately behind him are several members of Team Lotto NL Jumbo, while to the right are several members of Team Sky, and to the left, in a neat line, are six members of the Dimension Data team.
So there we are, a brief but exciting flash of speed and colour and they were past and on their way to Doncaster.
After a look around a couple of the historic sites in Pontefract, I completed my journey back to York and was looking forward to seeing the day's Tour highlights on TV, only to find that the French helicopter (which should have filmed the race and relayed film from motorcycles with the riders) had suffered a technical failure and was unable to follow any of the womens race and only recorded around 20km of the end of the mens race. A disappointing end to the day, but it made going to see the race even more worthwhile.
I`ve once watch the tour la France going by. Waiting an hour, watching a few min. Than It was all over. Great shot of yours and thanks being patient to get this great pic. of it.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are really appreciated!
For those who wondered how much time I spent waiting for this, I've put an explanation with the shot for 3rd May - but it wasn't very long.
