Scarecrow Trail

I had a trip to Rowntree Park on the south side of York yesterday afternoon, and there was a scarecrow trail aimed at children, with a quiz sheet of questions to be answered at each scarecrow as they found them.

The theme was popular children's characters, and here are three of them. The park was busy, there were lots of children eagerly searching for the scarecrows, and there was a good atmosphere. Profits from the sale of quiz sheets went to the funds of the Friends of Rowntree Park, who do much of the care of the park and who organise regular special events there.
