This is a small part of a sculpture at the North York Moors Centre at Danby in Eskdale. It is one of many sculptures around the grounds (one of which featured earlier in our project - http://365project.org/fishers/365/2019-05-11 ).
The sculpture was created by Steve Iredale, a chainsaw sculptor based in Staithes, North Yorkshire. This sculpture is of a shoal of salmon being chased by a beaver, with this shot concentrating on the faces of two of the salmon.
Amazing what can be done with a chainsaw. thank you for the link. to see one of your previous pictures. love to get a hold of those children's books. what a great story it must be to read to the Great-grandchildren .
Thank you all for your comments and favs, which put this shot on the Popular Page. I'm stunned by your generous responses!
It is amazing how detailed and lifelike many of these sculptures are, and I've discovered since posting that I've got shots of several pieces of work by this sculptor.
