For several years, there have been birds of prey in the Museum Gardens, York, and visitors can pay to choose a bird to perch on their arm for photographs. It was good to see a few days ago that the birds were back in the gardens again.
I understand that the birds are from Thorp Perrow near Bedale, on the fringes of the Yorkshire Dales, and they are brought into York each day to be put on display.
wow, fantastic collage, I love these birds, in a few days here in the mountains there will be a demonstration with these birds, I hope to be able to take photo
Beautiful set of photos - great shots all of them. The barn owl was native to Malta until some years ago, somebody is trying to introduce them again in our countryside. My pick of the four is the hawk (?)
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
I should have added details of what the birds are. From the left, a barn owl, a eurasian eagle owl, a little owl, and I'm not sure what the hawk on the right is.
