Or at least it would have if I had risked going out on Monday or Tuesday. After an incredibly dry April, this month seems to be going for a wetness record. The weather station in Sheffield recorded 26mm (around 1 inch) on Monday, compared with 6.2mm (less than 1/4 inch) for the whole of April.
This shot was taken of our front window just before 6pm on Monday, and is typical of the weather in the last 48 hours.
Nice capture, the rain has been on point of hail here, and so cold for May. I’m sick of seeing bedding plants on my window ledges. Normally the cold frame would be enough!!
Lovely shot. At least you got rain. We have had a whole week of dull weather with the sky completely covered with clouds but no rain except for a drop or two to dirty everything we have outside.
now I cannot get that song out of my head
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
Apologies to those of you who had the BJ Thomas song going through your head after reading my title - I had the same problem!
I really shouldn't complain about the rain, after such a dry April. It has made the plants in the garden look rather more cheerful!
