Back to Thirsk for this look at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, and another example of the work of the Thirsk Yarnbombers.
This example was not in the main part of the display in the Market Place, but in a small paved area west of the town centre where Topcliffe Road joins Westgate. It was one of two larger pieces of yarnbombing at this location.
The Queen, on the balcony, surveys the world parading before her - in this case the traffic congestion common at this location!
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
It is always a pleasure to see the displays of the Thirsk yarnbombers. There are usually three a year and we try to get to each one. I should add that this example of their work is actually a post box topper.

Thank you Bri - the Thirsk Yarnbombers create some spectacular displays, and we always try and visit new displays.
