Advent

I saw this shot as I sat in church for midweek communion so darted forward to stop the candles being extinguished at the end of the service. Three candles lit on the advent wreath, the fourth being lit this Sunday, and then the central one on Christmas day to signify Jesus, the Light of the World. In the background you can see the purple colour of the altar cloths.

This is beautiful! Love the idea. I've often thought of photographing our Advent candles, but never make it there before the candles are extinguished.
