Meet the Japanese Beetle. Despite their interesting colours and metallic sheen I do not find these in the least bit attractive. They are voracious devourers of my plants and flowers and, as often as not, when I see them their back ends are working on reproducing while their front ends are eating. All god's creatures, and all that but, this is one creature I find it impossible to love.
