This is the narrow, but bright, back corner area of my local Starbucks where, pre-covid I spent many early mornings checking out my emails, or chatting with acquaintances. Due to lock downs and indoor restrictions, I haven't been there for over a year. Recently, Starbucks has re-opened to letting people sit inside but at a reduced occupancy rate so, tables and chairs are spaced further apart and some of the furniture, from other areas, has been relegated to this back corner area. I saw it the other day and thought that it felt kind of like my life these days...things that I recognize but for now just have stacked away, till I can pull them out again, in better times, and a slightly unsteady feeling as if things are slipping away while still remaining static.
