This cage feeder has featured in many of my backyard shots but it usually plays a background role, with birds perched on it, or squirrels hanging from it or sitting inside it. Today, after the feeding frenzy was over and the plate was empty, I decided to take a picture with it in the starring role and the fall sunshine bouncing off the bushes behind it.
