Midnight Glory

Now this I think is abstract . . . but what does it mean? I think I'm still struggling with the purpose behind an abstract image. Are we just trying to take a realistic image and make it look weird? Or are we trying to say something about the original subject or scene by abstracting it?
Probably more effective on black.
Lovely whirly colours

I love the twirling colours- so vibrant! And yes, Joanne, this looks great on black! Fav

I think this is beautiful For me it is making it different enough that it makes viewers look more closely. Maybe because they appreciate the details or the colors or sometimes because they wander what it is. I don’t think it is one thing or the same thing to other people…..that’s what makes it fun.

You asked a great question, I have no answer but I like your abstract.

A great image. I like an abstract that you can see a little bit of realism in.

Love this. You ask a great question which I echo.

Yes, it's definitely an abstract- what do they mean? It's really up to the artist- as it usually is with any picture. So, if for you it's an exploration of color- then that's what it means. If it's something more symbolic, well, you'll understand it, but your viewers might not. But I don't think that's important with an abstract. As Debbie said, I think it's really about making the viewer look more closely.
