I arrived home late. Katniss always comes to greets me. I picked her up to give her a hug and walked to the French doors to look in the backyard. Both of us were surprised to see this black and white visitor looking for bird seed. And it was not a tuxedo cat! It was a skunk!
If you are ever sprayed by one, you will never forget it!
Poor little Sophie Belle took a direct spray to her face and started foaming at the mouth. I panicked and took her to the emergency vet in the middle of the night and they refused to see her!!! It took weeks to get the smell out of our house, our vehicle and my clothes!
@365projectorgheatherb Haha! I added the story above about how our little Sophie got sprayed once! I tried to post it all earlier and all my text, quote and caption disappeared. I hate it when that happens!
@photohoot Yes. I think they are very cute when not in our yard. Little Sophie was in our front yard one night and got sprayed in the face and started foaming at the mouth. It was a scary nightmare!
@beverley365 Yes. They are cute with the mama skunk leading her babies across the street but off our property. I added above that our little Sophie Belle got sprayed in the face once and it scared the daylights out of me as she started foaming at the mouth! I didn’t know what to do!
@shutterbug49 I don’t know why all these critters are coming to our house?!?
Been living here for 28 years and these are all new visitors in the backyard.
