I met Tony today at the Hoover Dam. He has been renting paddleboats and canoes all summer and has only two more weekends left before the end of his season. He began this journey after his divorce earlier this year, says he has not even been able to break even with his investment but he does not want to go back to working in an office. He has a couple of part-time gigs for the fall and winter lined up ... I wished him the best a told him I would love to see him make it.
This is Hoover Dam, but not the one you may be thinking of. The "big one" is located out west in Utah, if i am not mistaken, about 2,000 miles away from our community of Westerville. Ours is a pretty nice size however, and folks come from all around year 'round to check it out, recreate on the water and stuff.
