Today would have been my mother's 99th birthday. Decided to photograph mum's celluloid doll Patty which my older sister was given when she was a child. And interestingly, she is dressed in the christening gown that was knitted for my sister's son 44 years ago! The pink ribbon was added 31 years ago when I borrowed the gown for my daughter's christening - quite a bit of history here :)
@gigiflower We haven't discussed that! But it's certainly something we must do as my sister has only one son and one grandson, and my 3 girls are very close to my sister :)
How wonderful to still have the doll. A lovely tribute to your Mum. My sister had a porcelain doll when she was little and I used to hate it because it glowed in the dark when the moonlight shone through the window. It scared the life out of me. ha ha.
Cheers to your mum 😊
