A history lesson of the 12 Apostles

Here we have the 12 apostles recognised around the world as a great tourist attraction! These limestone stacks, up to 50 mts (160 ft) were formed over thousands of years of erosion along our coastline. They were formerly known as the Sow & piglets, but a user friendly new name was given in the 1960's as tourism started booming! I've found a photo of mine when we visited in 1970 (not knowing then I would move down here!) Here you can see the front stack which fell in 2005.
what a great record of the changing coastline

Thanks for sharing this opportunity to study the differences time has created. The others don't look greatly changed, but it's a shame the front form fell.
