Rescue bird

Got a call from my sister who had rescued this beautiful bird and wasn't sure what to do with it. It survived a night and was then flying around in her garage. It certainly looked like it was a pet. The sad ending though, was it died later that day before we could find it a home.
Awww well it was sweet.

Oh, it must have been a young canary? And birds die of fright, from a heart attack so easily!

Aww so sorry it died but that happens. Happily you gave it a fun photo and good care before that happened.

It's easy to forget how fragile wild animals are.

Cute canary. I had one in a cage some years ago and it attracted another one that had escaped from somewhere else. The cage was in two parts so I opened the door of the empty part and the new canary came in to stay. In time both died.

Oh, such a sad story for this dear little canary! I captured one in my backyard years ago...and it lived with us for 13 years!!! I was hoping you were going to share the start of another such story...
