So much for summer yet again! Yesterday we had a great day of sunshine only to be followed by an amazing sound and light show! The storm rolled around for half an hour allowing me time to experiment trying to capture lightning from my back door. I successfully got 2 photos! Another first for me! SOC
Awesome capture. When I'm shooting the lightning, I try to set it for a long exposure by increasing the aperture to one of the smaller sizes F18/F22, depending on the light available. Then with the longer exposure, it doesn't take such a reaction to get the shot. Still, just clicking and deleting if no shot, but seems like it make is a little easier.
@rickster549 Thanks Rick. I knew it should be long exposure, but not sure how long! I was playing with that and the iso as the sky got darker so was pleased with the few I got. I later looked it up and I know it should have been much longer exposure but at the time I didn't have a tripod either :) I'm just happy I got something!
