The Gallery 2

This is the outside of our new gallery with the reflection of the White Hart Hotel across the road. I have it on good authority that New Plymouth is not the only town with a pub called the White Hart, however it is the only town where this particularly bar was a haunt of mine in my final year of school. Tell no one.
More importantly, our new gallery is sitting spectacularly just on the other side of awesome. The shot I posted yesterday is the interior wall of this one and in the "folds" of the stainless steel there are tall, narrow windows where a person could (if they had the desire to) lurk and scare the bejesus out of more innocent passers by.
This is another lensbaby shot as well...and what concerns me the most is that dash of colour. I have no idea how it got there.
Quite nice on black I think.
Well, I'm faving this!!! ;)

Most excellent and definitely not Graeme-like. Where are the bones, where is the blood? Fire? No where. Cute kids:).
July 27th, 2015
Your secret is safe w me... The selective colour, on the other hand, is concerning... Your inner demons must be taking control... Again... Very awesomeshot, though!
July 27th, 2015
This is a fantastic looking building and have to come and see it ... love the select colour..
July 27th, 2015
Love it! Fav
July 27th, 2015
Cool image, and just a splash of color!!
July 27th, 2015
Super to see that flash of pink the reflection too! Amazing photograph - I wonder if anyone else has seen it like this! fav
July 27th, 2015
Nice to see that flash sneak itself into the shot -- very effective. And what an architectural scene!
July 27th, 2015
Cool reflections. I like your pink touch.
July 27th, 2015
Wow what a cool shot! Even with the pink, amazingly...
July 27th, 2015
@kerosene I tried it without the pink and it didn't work...weirder than a weird things being weird, but there you go.
@epcello Thank you very much :)
@taffy It really is an incredible building, and thank you
@maggiemae Thank you very much - it's an amazing building
@photographycrazy Thanks very much and a splash is all you'll get ;)
@888rachel Thank you kindly :)
@julzmaioro Thank you very much, it's an amazing place
@northy I can't control them, hopefully I'll start seeing in B&W again soon!
@amandal All that stuff is in my garden...I miss being at home
@juliedduncan Well, I'm thanking you :)
July 27th, 2015
I just love how the curves of the building bend the reflections. Having the kids frolic in the front is really great. Wonderful shot. :) The lensbaby is becoming more enticing!
July 27th, 2015
So much to look at and wonder about!
July 27th, 2015
Love the SC. Great shot!
July 27th, 2015
Love it! FAV Is that a splash of the C word I see???? (colour)
July 27th, 2015
Great reflections!
July 27th, 2015
@aecasey Thanks - I couldn't avoid them really ;)
@alinz Thank you and yes, it really must be stopped...
@whimsicalgrateful Thank you very much :)
@beschnett That's the only way to live really...
@rosiekerr Thanks very much - I'm still learning how to use it properly but it is fun
July 27th, 2015
Well if that colour was accidental & not managed after hours of painstaking manoeuvres you are a genius beyond the capabilities of me....big fave! New Plymouth has gone very modern & upmarket since I was there five years ago! I have never tried or been interested to try the lens baby type option on my camera...perhaps I will after this!
July 27th, 2015
Great shot - and I do like the pop of colour.
July 27th, 2015
@dide Thanks very much :)
@happypat New Plymouth is slowly coming into the 21st Century...slowly. There are (and always will be) those in the cit who are dead set against anything new, including a lot of our councillors!
July 27th, 2015
Instant fav
July 27th, 2015
I love melting reflections - like that you are rockin' the lensbaby
July 27th, 2015
What a considerable amount of unrealness! Maybe it's the pink...
July 27th, 2015
@mastermek Well, you wanted colour so you only have yourself to blame ;)
@annied It was high time that I dragged it out again and had another crack at it :)
@ceilidh Instant thanks :)
July 27th, 2015
You really have to get 5 stars for responding to so many friends' comments1 I have to admit I look forward to these and am disappointed when all they eventuate is a mass thank you. Its like a conversation and that you are really reading their words!
July 27th, 2015
@graemestevens glad you did - keep going - the more you play the more you learn
July 27th, 2015
@maggiemae would now be a good time to admit to having a secretary that does all this for me? ;)
@annied I'm yet to figure out how to take a selfie with it...
July 27th, 2015
@graemestevens No, wouldn't accept this - there would be too much dissension between your interpretation on a comment and the secretary - bird?
July 27th, 2015
@graemestevens hahahahaha I just hold the camera out front and hope for the best lol - I do sometimes swing the live view around but that just confuses me
July 27th, 2015
@annied I don't have a swingable live view...
@maggiemae No would work for me anyway...
July 27th, 2015
Ya the splash of color was accidental. They should get you to do the brochure shots for the gallery. Would love a nose around it...fav
July 27th, 2015
@jack4john Thank you kindly, it's an amazing space, well worth the two year wait while it was built
July 27th, 2015
@graemestevens oh ....that is a terrible state of affairs. ..kidding....just get you focal point and throw yourself in hahaha
July 27th, 2015
@annied That's where it gets difficult. I have the Spark, so there's no focal point unless I'm controlling it...I'll figure something out. Somehow.
July 27th, 2015
@graemestevens ahhhhh I see ...and strangely I understand .... on the composer you can set it...on the muse you need to be holding it
July 27th, 2015
selective colour excellent shot
July 27th, 2015
The outside looks even awesomer
July 27th, 2015
Fabulous indeed :)

@annied Yep, makes it a tad trickier
July 27th, 2015
Wonderful S/C, great shot...Fav
July 27th, 2015
This is really great. I really like the distortion of the reflections, but it is all set off w/ the selective coloring.
July 27th, 2015
Lee
I like the selective colour, and all the shine. Good shot.
July 27th, 2015

@gamelee Thank you very much :)
@lsquared Thank you very much - it didn't work at all in straight B&W
@tonygig Thank you very much :)

Very cool love the sc!
August 1st, 2015
Yes, this is most impressive....a veritable hall of mirrors that changes every day and with every movement. From what I have read about the artist, it seems really fitting to have a building like this that conveys so much movement. That touch of color is a bit disconcerting, but I am sure it will not happen again....must have been a moment of weakness!
August 6th, 2015
@panthora It was either weakness or my camera playing up.
August 6th, 2015
@radiogirl Thank you so much :)
