A Lick and a Promise

Several hours on and off in 88/31.1 degree heat with about 70% humidity of working in my back yard trying to recover from two years of college study neglect has taken almost everything out of me today so that all you get tonight is an acorn squash that will be part of supper on another day.
I'm impressed that you still have the energy to cook from scratch. It has nice color and ridges. A yellow acorn squash?

@randystreat I had no energy to cook it tonight! That’s why it was a photo instead of a meal. I have seen them turn yellow before. I think it’s when they are exceptionally ripe.

Great shot with the white background. We have the same weather is south Florida . It’s brutal to be out long. Take it easy!

Sounds like you had a real busy day, I cannot take the heat anymore, so get a gardener in once a week. Love your squash, it it out of the garden?

Oh my- I am useless in that kind of heat and humidity. I think you deserve two nights off from cooking and one more shot like this of something green- put it together with the squash shot and your tomato collage and you have a veggie series! This is actually quite good for having no energy. I'd be dipping into the archives lazy girl that I am.

The garden has to be done in small portions or you will start to hate it.
