I took two cuttings from my plumeria plant last year and one this year. After a false start with one of them, they all leafed out beautifully this year. I am not sure which one of the cuttings produced the blooms but I am thrilled to see them after only a year or less!
How wonderful Katy, I still have 6 cuttings from last year that did not flower. I am hoping that they will get their leaves back in spring and that there will be some flowers.
@joansmor so nice of you to take the time Joan thanks @olivetreeann thank you ANn LOL perhaps lucky more than skill? @Dawn thgank you so much Dawn @randystreat thanks Kathy I was surprised to see it @shutterbug49 thank you Debbie i am too @ludwigsdiana thanks Diana. I have found that patience is the best when it comes to these. Mine didn't bloom for years but aI just kept watering them and all of a sudden they decided to bloom. I really thought these would take a couple of more years before they bloomed so I was very surprised to see this. They are in pots that I bring in for the winter and they lose all their leaves and then grow them back in the spring when I take them back outside @kjarn that means a lot to me Kathy @koalagardens how nice of you Katrina @wakelys More than likely I am just lucky thanks Sue @briaan Oh, Brian I am so glad you think so! @tunia high praise coming form a master gardner Tunia @marilyn thank you! I am often reminded of that when they bloom! @linnypinny I really appreciate that Lin @mcsiegle that is so nice of you to say Mary I feel this is more luck than skill and I agree with you about their perfect looks!
@grammyn Thanks for the info Katy, I do the same and they grow like mad when they come out. Do you water them at all during the winter months? I read no leaves, no water. I was just hoping for flowers ;-)
@ludwigsdiana I almost never water them. I had not heard that saying before, but it makes sense. Donât give up hope, I didnât, and was eventually rewarded.
How did you get them through the winter?
