Searching for a photo that was close at hand before going to a dinner party and trying to move away from nothing but Christmas photos, I happened to look out the back door and saw this little pest sitting in an empty pot eating the birdseed that had spilled into it from the feeder above!

Such a cute little pest, though. I first thought the item in the foreground was a leaf, but a closer look leads me to believe it is a garden tool. I love the little extra it adds to the shot.
@kjarn lol! Thank you so much, Kathy @marilyn you aren’t wrong and that’s probably why I continue to take photos of them. Funny that you like that little garden shovel. I was distraught that it was there, but I couldn’t move it because he would be gone. I had considered cloning it out, but didn’t have the time so now I’m grateful that it was there.
