There may not be "four and twenty blackbirds" on this tree but it is close. I don't think I have ever seen so many birds vertically on a tree before. Horizontally as on the tip of the tree beside it, yes. Vertically, no.

Reminds me of my college days. Area had a lot of trees around a lagoon, tons of birds. Kinda creepy walking past, like the movie The Birds.

@missrobyn I could hear these but thought they were in the lower branches. When I looked I realized what I was seeing on the top of the tree was birds not leaves!

Starlings will group just about any which way and anywhere... they are very annoying birds, but your photo of them is terrific!
