Early Start by grammyn

Early Start

I always feel sorry for the children in the neighborhood who have to stand and wait so early every morning for their school bus
what a great moody picture!

Great capture and sentiment. I totally agree. It's like going to school during the night!

I feel sorry for those kids, too. This picture really makes me nervous. Definitely a moody, powerful picture.

@debsphotos It isn't bad in the fall and late spring but in the winter it is always dark for them. They have to leave almost two hours before school starts.

@hankinsphoto Our neighborhood is safe but not all areas are and some of those kids are so little! Thanks, Steve!

This is definitely a moody shot... and I kind of feel like Steve... it makes me a little nervous... and, like Deb, I feel like I am right there... probably why it makes me nervous... :) Well done! :)

@nyusha Thanks,Anna for all your nice words. And you said it perfectly. When I see them standing there they are up but not "woke" up yet.

@grammyn It just has an eerie feeling about it... I think it is just the dark and the fog that makes it feel that way...

@marilyn Thanks

The lights break up the moody mists. The trees in the foreground and background also make the shot a little more eerie (too many horror movies on my part perhaps :-)

@jennwearing Thanks,and THAT is why I don't watch horror movies!

Well... at least they're not walking 10 miles in a foot of snow -uphill both ways! ;) It is a moody sort of picture though! I'm just thankful I lived two houses away from school and could wake up much later than my bus-riding friends!!

@thesandbox5 Thanks, Brenda. I think the early start is what concerns me the most too!
