Movie Memories by grammyn

Movie Memories

22 years ago when we moved to Alabama there was still an outdoor movie theater in town and we went there several times. It has long since been torn down. We came across this one today which has obviously seen better days but it brought back some fun memories.
That is definitely well past its prime! But, oh! The memories! :) And another well-composed shot! :)

@marilyn Thanks so much. It was only an open field. There were no speaker stands left.

There's still an operating drive-in movie theater in the small town where I grew up! Fun memories and a lovely image to invoke them!

Drive-in movies were so much fun! We loved to take the kids in their pajamas! Good memories . . . My daughter just mentioned to me that there is still one in Sherwood, OR, not too far from here.

I used to love going to drive. Saw Alien at drivein. Our heads nearly popped through roof of car too.

@peterdegraaff LOL! I can only imagine! It seemed to be a more festive occasion than going to the movies inside didn't it?

Interesting to see the screen still standing up. When the kids were small we used to take them to drive-ins. memories are flooding in looking at this picture.
