I see this here in England too, sofas sitting sadly on the pavement. I do not understand the wastage. Coming from Africa that sofa would have been snapped up in an instant an treasured in some home, they really understand recycling there. Great picture, it made me remember!
@silverlight I'm glad you like the picture and even more glad to know you feel as i do about not tossing something just because you are tired of it when someone else can get some good use out of it.
Nice pop of color! I wonder why they didn't donate it? Though in my neighborhood, we have sort of an informal swap shop--we put things out on Sunday for pickup on Monday, and people cruise around seeing if there's anything they can use.
