This is the pole that prompted the guarantee that the squirrels wouldn't be able to climb. http://365project.org/grammyn/365/2014-03-02
This is the shot that proves the guarantee is now null and void!
Hilarious caption Katy! Those guys are persistent if nothing else. I bought some stuff at the bird store to make the poles slippery. I did watch a squirrel slide down a pole but I think you need to re-apply often, so again, I opted for my squirrel proof feeder. Great shot!
Here's a link to it - http://shop.wbu.com/p/wbu-fundamentals-squirrel-proof-bird-feeder/feeders_squirrel-proof-feeders?pp=12 It's not cheap but I actually watched it work today. I had my own little pole dancer who shimmied up the pole and when he reached for the feeder, the outside cage pulls down and closes access to the food. It's weight sensitive and they're too big! It was awesome! Plus, it has 4 perches as well as the cage for birds to climb and hang on. I have 2 now and they are worth every penny!
@claireuk He sure does! the "company" is my husband who made the pole and you can be assured he has seen the results and has been warned to not make guarantees he can't control! ;~} Thanks, especially for the FAV, Claire
