Baskett Slough in April

I took this in April but started playing with it this week. I worked in PS on getting some definition in what was a totally burned out sky...so I tried color range and gradient tool but had absolutely no success with that. I tried quick select and magic wand but that got really messed up around the tree line in the background. Wound up darkening the entire image and using history brush to re-brighten everything but the sky
This was a jpeg shot and even the original out of camera had a weird green line outlining the tree line in the background. I have no idea why that happened. So if any of you have PS advise, please let me know.
And thanks always just for visiting and especially for commenting and favs!
you did a great job, and definitely worth rescuing the sky - although I might have been content to crop it away altogether just at the tree line. My photoshop techniques are very ill disciplined and I wish I had learned properly - the history brush sounds really useful. Must investigate.

Did you try chromatic aberration correction in LR or camera raw?

Super perspective and sense of depth

My PS skills are weak but do like how you brought the clouds back in which help complement those marvelous reflections. Did you think about color efex, now a plug-in for PS (I think).

@helenhall belated thanks for the comment and you mentioned PS and learning it...my retention span is about 2 seconds for anything. but history brush when you go back to an earlier state is really handy...I recommend it highly.
