A very mundane shot on which I used the PS
"chalk & charcoal" filter from the dropdown filter gallery menu. I'm not sure why the dark shape in the background as I didn't see anything like that in the original. If you know how this works, please let me know.
I like the textures in the bottom layer. When you do your experimenting do you try different base photos? I’m guessing chalk & charcoal is another name for a type of b&w filter.
@shutterbug49 hi...yes, I am trying different base photos; that seems to be the crucial difference actually; some of these filters don't work at all effectively on some images but do really well on others. BTW, I forgot that you do your images with an IPhone, and that you teach your photo group. I definitely need to check that out!
