FacingWest

The theme for The Darkroom @thedarkroom this past week was to take a shot of a landmark in an unusual way. This is the Oregon Pioneer, which stands atop the State Capitol Building. He's usually seen in a much more majestic way (if you can use majestic when referring to pioneers) than through the trees. The shot posted at the Darkroom was a zoom burst.
You gained an interesting perspective of the Oregon Pioneer here.

I think that this is one of the best shots of the Oregon Pioneer that I've ever seen. SUPER COOL!

Seeing him through the leaf canopy feels as if it adds to the meaning of the statue

Terrific idea for landmark. I love the shot through the trees.

Sort of a sneaky look at the tall metal pioneer. I like the choice you made for the prompt.
