@farmreporter thanks...and maybe you can help me. I am trying to post the new abstract challenge and I do not know how to make either the tag or the contact-reply address of the others mentioned, eg previous winner, as a live link. eg @Jodie Can you help?
For purposes of entering a photo into a discussion thread:
What you do is click on the three dots beside where the number of comments and copy the WHOLE long link - put it in the comment box that shows up when you hit reply - (I usually post my comment before I copy the link into the comment box)
and then hit reply. The picture should pop up then.
But for purposes of entering competitions:
Usually all you do is tag the competition name (ex. get-pushed-213) and then the photo will go into the proper competition spot. I'm not sure what the abstract competition tag is but you should know.
Hope this helps.
@farmreporter thanks, not quite what I meant..trying to link to a person, not a photo. For instance, if I wanted to have people be able to contact you, how would I put your link in the post?
Oh - you mean you are trying to post the five photos you have selected for the new voting?
What I did - and maybe it is more work than necessary - but I opened a Word Document and made all my comments, and put all my links on one word document.
First, type number, name, @name, and reason you chose the photo (if you want to)
Then copy the link of that photo (using the three dots beside the comment and fav bar), paste that link below their name and info.
Leave a space of two - and do that for the next one. Repeat until all are complete.
Add your congrats to each @name.
Your word document is now complete.
Copy the WHOLE document, start a new discussion post, title it, paste the whole document, hit reply, and it should open complete with all photos. You are able, if necessary, to edit your new discussion if there is an error or you don't like something,
This may be more work than necessary but it seemed to work for me.
Or - if you want people to contact the person you mentioned in the post - you have to put @name in a comment box - not the discussion part so that they comment is sent to that person.
