This weekend was the RSPB 'Big Garden Birdwatch' and as Ben is a keen RSPB Youth member we sat down for the required hour to track the birds that visited the garden. We also set up a camera so that we could try and capture a few as they visited the bird table, and I have several nice shots that I intended to use here.
However, as the hour drew to a close, Grandad, who was also on the look out at the back of the house, called to tell us that there was a Muntjac deer in the garden, right by the house. So cameras were carted round and many frames were shot as she wandered about investigating our pile of rubbish. Light was failing so many of the shots were no use, but a couple turned out ok, and here is my favorite of the bunch.
Shame in a way - I had a couple of very nice bird photos lined up - better photographs - and relegating them was a hard choice, but this summed up the afternoon so much better..
